Abstracts and full-text papers submitted to the International Film Studies Symposium are evaluated within the framework of scientific ethics and by the double-blind peer review method.
1. Ön Değerlendirme1. Pre-Screening
Gönderilen bildiriler öncelikle yazım kurallarına uygunluk açısından incelenir. Uygun olanlar editöre iletilir.
Submitted papers are first reviewed for compliance with writing guidelines. Those that comply are forwarded to the editor.
2. Editör / Alan Editörü İncelemesi2. Editor / Field Editor Review
Editör veya alan editörü, bildiriyi özgünlük, dil kullanımı, sempozyum kapsamına uygunluk ve bilimsel içerik açısından değerlendirir. Uygun bulunan bildiriler hakem sürecine alınır. Şekilsel eksiklikler varsa, yazar(lar)dan düzeltilmesi istenir.
The editor or field editor evaluates the paper for originality, language use, compliance with the symposium scope and scientific content. Papers found suitable are taken to the review process. If there are formal deficiencies, the author(s) are asked to correct them.
3. Hakem Değerlendirmesi3. Peer Review
Hakem sürecine alınan bildiriler, uzmanlık alanına göre seçilen en az iki, en fazla dört hakeme gönderilir. Hakemler, "Giriş ve literatür, metodoloji, önem, çekicilik, özgünlük, güncellik ve genel değerlendirme" kriterlerine göre 0-10 arası puanlama yapar.
Papers taken to the review process are sent to at least two and at most four reviewers selected by field of expertise. Reviewers score on a scale of 0-10 based on criteria of "Introduction and literature, methodology, importance, appeal, originality, currency and overall evaluation".
Ortalama puanı 6 ve üzeri olan bildiriler sunuma hak kazanır.
Papers with an average score of 6 or above qualify for presentation.
Hakemler bildiriyi kabul edebilir, reddedebilir veya biçim ve içerik açısından düzeltme talep edebilir. Düzeltme istenirse, yazar(lar) gerekli değişiklikleri yapar ve dosya yeniden değerlendirilir.
Reviewers may accept, reject or request revisions regarding the form and content. If revision is requested, the author(s) make the necessary changes and the file is re-evaluated.
4. Son Karar4. Final Decision
Hakem raporları editörler tarafından incelenir. Bir bildirinin kabulü için en az iki olumlu, reddi için ise en az iki olumsuz hakem görüşü gerekir.
Reviewer reports are examined by editors. At least two positive reviewer opinions are required for acceptance, and at least two negative opinions for rejection of a paper.
